Information Network International Relations and Area Studies

The PRIF library is a member of the Information Network International Relations and Area Studies, a cooperation of ten independent German research institutes in the field of International Relations. The network provides information for researchers and policy-makers as well as the general public.

The FIV network produces the database WAO – World Affairs Online, one of the largest bibliographic databases in Social Sciences. The main subject areas covered are International Relations, foreign and security policy, European policy as well as peace and conflict research. The database includes not only books, but journal and book articles as well as grey literature.

The collection of the FIV institutes can also be found through the catalog of the SWB.

Media from other FIV libraries can be requested by a special interlibrary loan.

Open Access

PRIF supports open, online, and barrier-free access to research results. The library advises PRIF employees on the possibilities of open access publishing. More information about Open Access at PRIF
