On March 1, 2023, the German government anchored a "Feminist Foreign Policy" (FFP) in the complementary guidelines of the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). As in other countries, FFP is understood as an inclusive policy approach that aims in particular to strengthen the rights, resources and representation ("3 Rs") of women as well as children and marginalized groups. The focus of FFP lies on security and peace, with gender equity and participation taking up the role of defining, basic prerequisites.
What does FFP mean for international economic and academic cooperation? Where and how can scientists get involved? What role will intermediary organizations play? These and other questions will be discussed by Verena Blechinger-Talcott, Peter Kettner, Victoria Scheyer and Claudia Zilla under the moderation of Katharina Peetz at the Policy Talk "Feminist Foreign Policy: Ein neues Paradigma für internationale Wissenschaftskooperationen?" organized by the DAAD - Kompetenzzentrum Internationale Wissenschaftskooperation (KiWi). Reception delivered by Joybrato Mukherjee.
When: March 24, 2023, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Where: via livestream, registration required.
The event will be held in German.
