16th Schlangenbad Talks discuss global change

Germany's policy towards Russia, new challenges in energy politics and the rise of China will be topics of the annual Schlangenbad Talks, taking place from 25th to 27th April

Representatives from politics, economy and research will meet for the 16th time in the Hessian town of Schlangenbad to discuss the implications global change has for the German-Russian relations. Entitled "Crisis: Global change and its bilateral consequences", the participants will discuss a broad range of topics during the meeting: The German policy towards Russia after Wladimir Putin's return to the presidential office will be explored as well as different concepts of the term geopolitics.

 

Alexander Gruschko (Russian envoy to NATO) will be a participant as well as the German ambassador to Russia, Ulrich Brandenburg and Konstantin Kosatschew, Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States.

 

The talks are organized by PRIF and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Moscow in cooperation with its other partners, the Institute for World Economy and International Relations at the Russian Academy of the Sciences and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
