"Cinema Jenin" – The Story of a Dream

Movie screening and discussion on 2 October, 7 pm

The old-established "Cinema Jenin" was closed in 1987 - during the first Intifada - being one of the last cinemas left in Palestine. In the crisis-shaken city of Jenin, this cinema had been a meeting place for people of all ages and nationalities. Together with friends from Jenin and supporters from all over the world, the German documentarian Marcus Vetter decided to renovate the cinema. "Cinema Jenin" (2012) shows the rebuilding of the most important cinema in West Bank, which reopened in 2010.
