Conference "Nagorno-Karabakh Peace Process"

Call for participation in the conference "Nagorno-Karabakh peace process: on the role of the question of justice for the conflict resolution"

 

The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) is organizing - with support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) - a conference entitled “Nagorno-Karabakh peace process: on the role of the question of justice for the conflict resolution” on 23-27 November 2012 at the Evangelische Akademie Arnoldshainnear Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The conference languages are German and Russian. The conference wants to bring together both young scholars and politicians from the respective conflicting countries with renowned German experts. The aim is to provide a platform for an international dialogue of both scientific and political nature.

 

The call for discussants is primarily aimed at young scholars (graduates, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral fellows) from social sciences, focusing in any way on the region South Caucasus in their work. All those interested are invited to send by e-mail a letter (max. 500 words) describing their motivation for participation no later than 19 October 2012, 5 pm to: Ms. Vera Rogova, rogova @hsfk .de.

 

They are required to attach a CV indicating their past academic experience. The organizers will then decide on the final list of participants and inform them by 26 October 2012.

 

The participants traveling from outside of Frankfurt will be reimbursed for the travel costs (max. 150 euro). Moreover, the accommodation as well as meals and drinks will be available at the conference site.
