For Inter­national Women's Day, five junior PRIF researchers asked their partners from Yemen, Myanmar, Syria, Ukraine and Germany about what 8th of March means to them. In short interviews, the researchers and activists talk about the oppor­tunities, limits, and risks of their feminist work.

Clara Perras, student assistant in PRIF's research depart­ment “International Security”, talks with Hind Aleryani, journalist and women's rights activist from Yemen, about the complex relation­ship between war, peace and human rights in the Arab country.

Re­nowned Syrian human rights activist Sabah Alhallak is interviewed by Jusaima Moaid-azm Peregrina, PhD candidate and former visiting scholar at PRIF. Sabah Alhallak emphasizes that sustainable peace in Syria can only be achieved if human rights are guaranteed for all citizens.
