Global Governance and Corporate Responsibility in Conflict Zones

Moira Feil analyzes governance contributions of business in Ruanda the Democratic Republic of Congo

To what extent are corporations able to contribute to stability and security in a zone of violent conflict or even act as "governance-partners"?

In her study "Global Governance and Corporate Responsibility in Conflict Zones", Moira Feil highlights the discrepancies between political and theoretical expectations of corporate engagement and governance contributions.

He case studies from beverage production, telecommunications and petrol distribution sectors in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo show that companies are quite aware of their responsibility, though no direct governance contributions to security.
