This year's edition of “Leibniz im Bundestag” will take place on May 31 and June 1, 2022. PRIF's researchers are also involved in the transfer format of the Leibniz Association. For example, MdB Dr Georg Kippels (CDU) will meet with Dr Antonia Witt to discuss Mali and the Sahel as well as coups in West Africa. MdB Anke Domscheit-Berg (DIE LINKE) will hold a virtual conversation with Prof Dr Jonas Wolff on de-democratization and disputes over democracy worldwide as well as political developments in Latin America. Dr Irene Weipert-Fenner will discuss the impact of the Ukraine war on conflicts in the Arab world with MdB Alexander Radwan (CSU) as well as with the Parliamentary Group Maghreb States.

Since 2008, the format “Leibniz im Bundestag” has brought together scientists from various Leibniz institutes with members of the Bundestag. In personal discussions, the members of parliament gain insights into the research work and get an opportunity to discuss approaches to solving concrete problems with the researchers.
