Libya as a Model Case?

Harald Müller publishes HSFK-Report on Libya's Self-Disarmament

Within only a few years, Libya has changed from a "rogue state" into a role model concerning disarmament. In 2003, the Libyan government has committed itself to the elimination of its weapons of mass destruction, and since then, international organizations in charge of the verification have confirmed exemplary performance. In HSFK-Report 6/2006 "Libyens Selbstentwaffnung: Ein Modellfall?" (Libya's Self-Disarmament: A model case?), Harald Müller examines whether there are lessons to be learned from these negotiations that could help with other countries in convincing them to disarm themselves.
