Does the German army need armed drones?
On 30th June 2014 a public hearing is held at the defence committee with the title "International law, constitutional law, security policy and ethical issues connected to unmanned air vehicles that possess not only reconnaissance but also further combat abilities". The hearing is scheduled from 1 pm until 5 pm.
Eight expert advisors, including Dr. Niklas Schörnig, Senior Researcher at PRIF's Research Department I, give a statement on these issues. The statements can be found on the website of the Bundestag.
