Preparation for the NPT Review Conference 2010: Proposals for the Norwegian Presidency of the Seven Nations Initiative

Based on the current role of nuclear weapons in military doctrines, the impact of current changes in international relations on the role of nuclear weapons and the assumption that the classical bargain between nuclear weapon states and non-nuclear weapon states - long-term nuclear disarmament versus prompt renunciation of nuclear weapons - has to be renewed and strengthened, the study aims at developing specific options for the Seven Nations Initiative which might be introduced into the coming Review Conference.
