The Prevention Project

The NYU School of Law based "Prevention Project" has taken up work in December 2020. Directed by Katie Wightman and former UN Special Rapporteur Pablo de Greiff of the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice, NYU School of Law, an international group of experts aims at developing a comprehensive framework of evidence-based approaches and initiatives to better prevent human rights violations and humanitarian crises.
This project which is designed not merely to produce insight but also to transform prevention practice will make a significant contribution through research, conceptual clarification, and integration of knowledge and expertise from different policy fields, which will all feed into a structured process involving major stakeholders like the UN and other multilateral actors.
