Neuer Mitarbeiter im Wissenstransfer

Die HSFK begrüßt Manuel Steinert als neuen Mitarbeiter in der Abteilung Wissenstransfer. Er wird vor allem an neuen multimedialen Projekten arbeiten, etwa im Bereich Videoproduktion und Animation.

Estefania Lopez-Granados is a PhD student at PRIF since March 2019 and analyzes conflict dynamics in Mozambique. Her project is supported by the Ökohaus Foundation.

Projekt „Gesellschaft Extrem“: erste Ergebnisse auf Englisch verfügbar

Die ersten zentralen Ergebnisse des Projekts sind jetzt auch auf Englisch zugänglich: die Filme wurden mit einer englischen Untertitelspur versehen und die Projektwebseite wurde übersetzt.

Project  “Extreme Society. Radicalization and Deradicalization in Germany”: English content available

The first central results of the project are now available in English: a new subtitle track for our films and an English version of the project website.

Der Bundesaußenminister Heiko Maas besuchte im Rahmen seiner Lateinamerikareise das Deutsch-Kolumbianische Friedensinstitut CAPAZ, an dessen Aufbau die HSFK beteiligt ist.

Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas visited the German-Colombian Peace Institute CAPAZ on his trip through Latin America. Together with several German research facilities, PRIF is working on the establishment of CAPAZ since 2016.

• Beim Sicherheitspolitischen Forum NRW der Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Bonn sprach Sabine Mannitz am 25. April zum Thema „Auch Berufssoldaten sind Staatsbürger in Uniform".
• Auf der 60. Jahreskonferenz der International Studies Association (ISA) vom 27.-30. März in Toronto hielt Simone Wisotzki einen Vortrag zu „International law-making at the interstices of norms" und sprach auch zum Thema „Gender justice in the International Criminal Court".
• Im kolumbianischen Cali referierte Jonas Wolff am 28. März über sozioökonomische Proteste und politische Transformation in Ägypten und Tunesien. Am 3. April war er zu Gast in Quito, Ecuador, wo er über die politische Ökonomie Boliviens und Ecuadorssprach.
• Am 10. April sprach Anton Peez über kommerzielle Normativität im Internet im Frankfurter Kolloquium für Internetforschung.
• Gemeinsam mit Julia Leininger (DIE) präsentiertenAnnika Elena Poppe und Jonas WolffErgebnisse des Research Network External Democracy Promotion beim Treffen der Carnegie Democracy Group in Brüssel am 16. April.
• Simone Schnabel war am 24. April zu Besuch bei der Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in Addis Abeba und hielt einen Vortrag mit dem Titel „AU (non-)intervention practices in times of popular uprisings and local perceptions".

• Sabine Mannitz gave a lecture on the topic "Soldiers are Citizens in Uniform, too" on March 25 at the Security Policy Forum NRW of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Bonn
• Simone Wisotzki gave a lecture on "International law-making at the interstices of norms" and also spoke on "Gender justice in the International Criminal Court" at the 60th Annual Conference of the International Studies Association (ISA) from 27-30 March in Toronto.
• In Cali, Colombia,Jonas Wolffgave a talk about socio-economic protests and political transformation in Egypt and Tunisia on March 28. On April 3 he was a guest in Quito, Ecuador, where he addressed the political economy of Bolivia and Ecuador.
• On April 10, Anton Peez spoke about commercial normativity on the Internet at the Frankfurt Colloquium for Internet Research.
• Together with Julia Leininger (DIE),Annika Elena Poppe and Jonas Wolff presented the EDP Research Network's key findings at the meeting of the Carnegie Democracy Group in Brussels on April 16, 2019.
• Simone Schnabel visited the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Addis Ababa and gave a lecture on the topic "AU (non-)intervention practices in times of popular uprisings and local perceptions" on April 24.
