2 Eine Auswertung von Daten der 263 öffentlich bekannten Arria-Sitzungen zeigt, dass sich das Format über die Jahre stark verändert hat. Dies gilt sowohl für die in diesen Sitzungen behandelten Themen und die eingeladenen Vortragenden, aber auch für Teilnahmemöglichkeiten von Staaten und Organisationen außerhalb des Sicherheitsrats. Security Council Report führt eine Liste aller ihnen bekannten Arria-Formel-Sitzungen, weist jedoch darauf hin, dass diese Liste unvollständig ist. Die Kodierung und Auswertung dieser Liste erfolgten durch die Autorin und den Autor dieses Spotlights.

3 „Anteilig“ heißt hier, dass z.B. bei einem Meeting mit drei Organisatoren jedem Staat jeweils ein Drittel-Meeting zugerechnet wird.
