This year’s Annual Conference from 8 to 9 October entitled „Agents of Peace an Justice? Non-state Actors and World Order“ starts with a Public Forum at Haus am Dom.
At the Public Forum Freiheit des Wort vs. Schutz der Religion: Von der Kontroverse zur Annäherung (translation: Freedom of Speech vs Protection of Religion: From Controversy to Convergence) shall be discussed how the conflict can be handled constructively. Which theological and ethical principels are expressed within the dispute positions? How should globally valid norms be formulated to fit both sides? Can politics attenuate the conflict? And which role could religious actors themselves take to allow convergence?
