In May, PRIF opened an office in Berlin to be closer to the pulse of German politics – for one thing to critically monitor developments, for another to constructively advise politics. The office in Berlin also enables PRIF employees to use the centrally located workplaces during business trips to the capital and to organize workshops there. Moreover, the office in Berlin aims at fostering PRIF’s integration into the Leibniz-Association as well as cooperation with other research institutions. Main goal of the two-year pilot phase is to establish contacts and to develop event formats to deepen the dialogue with relevant actors from politics, civil society and academia. An opening event is planned for fall 2017. The office in Berlin is headed by Julian Junk.
