Clara-Auguste Süß, a staff member in research department IV and the Research Group Radicalization, was appointed as one of five Board Members to the EuroMeSCo Young Researchers Lab (Euro-Mediterranean Study Commission) in June 2022. C. Süß was already involved in a study on the relationship between covid and radicalization in the MENA region in 2021. “Thriving on Uncertainty: COVID-19-Related Opportunities for Terrorist Groups” was produced as part of the “EuroMesCo: Connecting the Dots” project. Particularly relevant to her current research is the dialogue between the EU and North Africa. EuroMeSCo is a network of research centers and think tanks that has existed since 1996 and currently includes 115 institutes from 30 countries in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean. PRIF is a member of EuroMeSCo.
