The "Knowledge Network Right-Wing Extremism Research" (Wi-REX), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), has been launched. Wi-REX networks knowledge on right-wing extremism in Germany. PRIF is an associated partner of the new network and thus supports the interdisciplinarity of right-wing extremism research in Germany. Wi-REX creates spaces for reflection and interaction for researchers and develops tailor-made formats for the transfer of knowledge between research, practice and civil society. Additionally, it provides targeted support for young researchers working on the topic of right-wing extremism. Contact persons at PRIF are Julian Junk and Daniel Mullis.
The PRIF team is actively involved in bringing the various BMBF-funded knowledge and research networks into dialog across phenomena. For example, the Radicalization Research Group coordinates the RADIS research network and is also in close contact with the networks that conduct research into racism, anti-Semitism, radicalization and social cohesion. Wi-Rex is now the newest member of this exchange between the numerous large research networks in Germany, which was initiated by PRIF and others.
