ARENA will host the first RECON (Reconstituting Democracy in Europe) conference in Oslo, 26-27 January 2007. This is the first time that all researchers in the consortium, coming from 18 institutions in 11 countries, will meet as a whole. The two-day kick-off conference addresses the main problems regarding supranational governance and democracy in Europe and presents the main themes of the project.
PRIF researchers Wolfgang Wagner and Nicole Deitelhoff will participate in the consortium and will present papers at the conference. In their work, they focus on the principles of democratic governance as well as on foreign and security politics.
