The aftermath of the IS terror

A public panel discussion on 3rd December addresses the regional consequences of the conflict with the terror group "Islamic State"

The terror group "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" seems unstoppable. What prepared the political ground for the IS? What are their goals? The consequences for the West are frequently discussed, but the impact for the region is dramatic as well. Is the destabilization of the region caused by the IS alone? Which role do the attempts of individual states play to gain more power in the Middle East and in North Africa? And what can be done to stop IS?
